Devices are often found during a network discovery that you never intend to monitor with SolarWinds UDT. The Discovery Ignore List is a record of all such devices on your network. By placing a device on the Discovery Ignore List you can minimize the SNMP processing load associated with discovering devices that you never intend to monitor.

  1. Click Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Configuration and Auto-Discovery > NetworkDiscovery.
  2. If you want to view the current Discovery Ignore List, click Discovery Ignore List.
  3. If you want to add devices to the Discovery Ignore List, complete the following procedure:
    1. Click Scheduled Discovery Results.

    2. Check devices you want to ignore, and then click Add to Ignore List.

  4. If you want to remove devices from the Discovery Ignore List, complete the following procedure:

    1. Click Scheduled Discovery Results.
    2. Check the devices you want to remove from the list.
    3. Click Remove from Ignore List.
    4. Confirm that you want to stop ignoring selected items by clicking OK.
