Overview

This article provides steps to turn off UDT logging. By default UDT stores log files to the C:\Temp directory. This could cause issues with disk space on the drive.

Steps

  1. Stop all the Orion services. - How to Start/Stop Orion Services
  2. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the following directory:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\UDT\
  3. Create a backup of the SolarWinds.UDT.BusinessLayer.dll.config file. 
  4. Using a text editor, open SolarWinds.UDT.BusinessLayer.dll.config.
  5. Search for the following line:
    1. <source name="System.ServiceModel" switchValue="Off,ActivityTracing" propagateActivity="true">
    2. Change it to: <source name="System.ServiceModel" switchValue="Off">
  6. Save the changes.
