Poll Layer 3 data from device option cleared

Overview

This article addresses the issue where the Poll Layer 3 data from device option gets cleared under UDT Node Properties.

Environment

UDT 3.2.3 and lower

Steps

This is a known issue within UDT, in versions 3.2.3 and lower. This issue is corrected within UDT 3.2.4 as noted in the release notes for that version:

 

  • UDT 3.2.3 Buddy drops with the following issues are now fixed in UDT 3.2.4:

           a. Problem with View UDT Job Status loading due to timeout when there are additional polling engines.
           b. Disabling the L3 job automatically when L3 job fails
           c. Supports the DELL force connect VLANs

 

An important thing to note however is that this corrects the Layer 3 polling from being from being disabled, but it doesn't enable it back onto nodes where the problem occurred. To insure that you are continuing to poll Layer 3 data, you'll need to Edit the node(s) in question and re-check the 'Poll Layer 3 data from device' box again and save the setting.
