Unused Port Report with Admin and Oper status included

This article describes how to create a custom report (that includes operational and administrative status for each reported port) in Web Report using SQL query for Unused ports.


All UDT versions


  1. Open Orion Web Console
  2. Navigate to Reports > All Reports > Manage Reports
  3. Create a new Report
  4. On Add Content, add a Custom Table Resource
  5. On the Selection Method choose Advanced Database Query and then SQL
  6. Copy and paste the query below:


         UDT_UnUsedPorts.NodeID AS NodeID, 

         UDT_UnUsedPorts.PortID AS PortID, 

         UDT_UnUsedPorts.DNS AS DNS, 

         UDT_UnUsedPorts.IP_Address AS IP_Address, 

         UDT_UnUsedPorts.Name AS Name, 

         UDT_UnUsedPorts.PortDescription AS Port_Description, 

         UDT_UnUsedPorts.DaysUnused AS DaysUnused, 

         UDT_Port.PortID AS PortID2, 

         UDT_Port.AdministrativeStatus AS AdminStatus, 

         UDT_Port.OperationalStatus AS OperStatus 

         FROM UDT_UnUsedPorts 

         INNER JOIN UDT_Port 

             ON UDT_Port.PortID = UDT_UnUsedPorts.PortID    



              CAST(UDT_UnUsedPorts.DaysUnused AS INT) >= 0

              OR UDT_UnUsedPorts.DaysUnused = 'Never' 


       AND UDT_Port.AdministrativeStatus = 1 

      AND UDT_Port.OperationalStatus = 2 

  1. Press Add to Layout
  2. On the Edit Resource page click Add Column
  3. Select all the columns and press Add Column
  4. Press Submit and finish the wizard
