Environment

  • UDT 3.3

Cause

The application cannot enumerate the port types from the Orion MIB database. Currently, this issue is caused by the latest MIB database imported from Network Performance Monitor (NPM) 12.2.

Resolution

  1. Download and install the most current MIB from the Customer Portal. This is a temporary solution.
  2. Ensure that the monitored port type selection list is not empty.
  3. If the previous steps do not resolve the issue, perform this workaround:
    1. Stop all services.
    2. View the current selection in the database.
The currently supported port type listing is listed in the UDT_Setting under UDT.MonitoredIfTypes.
    3. Add the port type number to the current list.
    4. Restart the services.
The port will now be monitored.

SolarWinds is aware of this issue and will address it in a future release.
