Create an alert for user login: UDT Watchlist feature

Overview

When logged in to a machine, the Event Viewer logs the workstation and host name into the Active Directory. When the Active Directory is added into UDT, user login data is polled and is used to display useful information in UDT.

Environment

All UDT versions with Watchlist feature enabled

Steps

  1. Create a watchlist:
    1. Log in to the Orion Web Console as an administrator.
    2. Go to Settings > All Settings > UDT Settings > Manage Watchlist.
    3. Click Add Device/User.
    4. Enter the user name (case-sensitive) that needs to be added to the watchlist.
  2. Create a watchlist alert:
    1. Log in to the Orion Web Console as administrator.
    2. Go to Settings > All Settings > Manage Alerts.
    3. Look for the Alert me when watchlist item becomes online alert.
    4. Use the Duplicate and Edit option to create a new alert.
    5. Fill out the details of the new alert as required.
