Ad-hoc Reporting is missing in UDT 3.1

Overview:

Ad-hoc reporting is deprecated with UDT version 3.1. If you are performing a clean install of UDT 3.1, Ad-hoc reporting will not be available. If you are upgrading to UDT 3.1 from an earlier release, Ad-hoc reporting will be available. This knowledge base article provides instructions for adding AD-hoc reporting to UDT 3.1 and instructions for removing it. 

Environment:

Note: The following steps apply to UDT 3.1 and above.

Resolution:

To enable Ad-hoc reporting login to SQL Server Management Studio, select your UDT database and perform the following:

  1. Click New Query, enter [UDT Database Name].[dbo].[swsp_UDTEnableAdhocReporting] in the query window and click Execute.

  2. Refresh the web console

To disable Ad-hoc reporting login to SQL Server Management Studio, select your UDT database and perform the following:

  1. Click New Query, enter [UDT Database Name].[dbo].[swsp_UDTDisableAdhocReporting] in the query window and click Execute.

  2. Refresh the web console.
