This article provides steps to clear the .NET cache.

The steps also addresses the Orion website performance issues where Other Time, as seen in Hubble, contributes significantly slow load of data.

All NPM versions

  1. On the Orion server, open the Orion Service Manager and  click 'Shutdown Everything'.
  2. On the Orion server, go to Start > Run, and enter services.msc.
  3. Stop the IIS service. Generally this would be named World Wide Publishing Service.
  4. When the service has stopped, go to C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\
  5. Go to the following locations and delete any folders under the folder of root (.NET cache):
    1.  C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root.
    2.  C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root.
    3.  C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root.
    4.  C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root.
  6. Delete everything under this directory if anything exists, leaving the folder root alone.
  7. Restart the IIS service.
  8. On the Orion server, open the Orion Service Manager and  click 'Start Everything'.
  9. Allow 15 - 20 minutes for the system to refresh.
  10. Load the website again and see if it loads faster and if Other Time has improved.
