Web Console does not work when using a localhost or loopback address

Overview

When installing the SRM Orion Module and the SRM Profiler Module on the same server and integrating them using the server's localhost or loopback address, users will not be able to access the Storage web console when using a web browser on a different machine.

Environment

All SRM versions

Resolution

Users must use the IP address or a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the server hosting the SRM Profiler software when integrating the two. When using a web browser on a different machine, that machine must also be able to resolve the FQDN of the server hosting the SRM Profiler Module.

For more information, see the Enabling Integration between the SRM Orion Module and the SRM Profiler Module section in the SRM Help Online document.
