Unable to add HP MSA storage device after upgrading the firmware

Overview

After you upgrade your HP Module Smart Array (MSA) firmware to GL225R003 and add the storage device in the Orion Web Console, the following error message displays:

We were able to connect to the device, but no compatible arrays were found. 
For more information, see SRM - No compatible arrays found.

Environment

  • SRM 6.6

Cause 

HP MSA firmware issue. 

Resolution

When you add the HP MSA storage device in the Orion Web Console, change the credential to use HTTP instead of HTTPS, This process should allow the Add Storage Device wizard to discover the array.
