SRM: Enable a NetApp Filer (Direct Polling) array

Overview

This article provides information for adding your NetApp Filer (Direct Polling) array to SRM. NetApp Filer arrays are 7-mode and cluster mode storage arrays, including the newer NetApp AFF series. These are monitored through on-board Data ONTAP APIs on the array. NetApp filers are polled directly from SRM via onboard APIs.

  • NetApp filer login credentials typically need root, nasadmin, or equivalent permissions

Environment

  • 6.0+

Credentials required to add the array

Ensure you have the following information:

  • IP address or hostname for the array
  • Array username
  • Array password
  • Protocol. The default is HTTP.
