LUN Masking report times out

Overview

Default LUN Masking report is throwing a timeout when started for all LUNs in the environment.

Environment

SRM 6.2

Cause 

Too many entries in LUN Masking table.

Resolution

Either reduce the amount of records which the report returns or create a Custom Resource to display LUN Masking information under each LUN:

  1. Go to any LUN Details page, click customize page.
  2. Add new resource, Custom Query.
  3. Click Edit on that resource.
  4. Enter title: "LUN Masking"
  5. Enter the following custom SWLQ query:
  6. Enter "Custom SWQL Query":

    SELECT lm.HostGroup AS [Host Group], lm.HostAlias AS [Host Alias], lm.InitiatorLunID AS [Initiator Lun ID],lm.InitiatorEndpoint AS [Initiator Endpoint],lm.TargetEndpoint AS [Target Endpoint],lm.UUID AS [UUID]
    FROM Orion.SRM.LunMasking lm
    WHERE lm.LunID = ${LunID}
    ORDER BY [Host Group] ASC;

  7. Enable option "Enable Search"
  8. Provide Search SWQL Query:
    SELECT lm.HostGroup AS [Host Group], lm.HostAlias AS [Host Alias], lm.InitiatorLunID AS [Initiator Lun ID],lm.InitiatorEndpoint AS [Initiator Endpoint],lm.TargetEndpoint AS [Target Endpoint],lm.UUID AS [UUID]
    FROM Orion.SRM.LunMasking lm
    WHERE lm.LunID = ${LunID}
    AND lm.HostAlias LIKE '%${SEARCH_STRING}%'
    ORDER BY [Host Group] ASC;
  9. Click Submit.
