Storage Manager reports an invalid count for total virtual machines assigned to an ESX server when viewing from the "VM Stats" web page.

Storage Manager is reporting 12 virtual machines for your ESX server when there are actually 15 assigned to it.

This issue happens when a virtual machine and its files are migrated to a new location. Virtual machines have a Universally Unique Identifier (UUID). The UUID is composed of the physical computer's identification along with the location to the virtual machines configuration file. When a VM is moved to a new location, this value should be updated to reflect the move. By changing the UUID, we are giving the virtual machine a unique identifier. If you choose not to change the UUID, a duplicate entry is logged by VMware. When Storage Manager polls the VM it reads the first UUID in the list. The first UUID will reference the old location and the Virtual Machine will not be recorded on the  Storage Manager "VM Stats" webpage.

Expected Results:

Storage Manager will report all virtual machines assigned to your ESX server or Virtual Center
