Overview

This article provides brief information and steps to resolve the issue when some ESX are not able to collect performance data due to incorrect credentials.

Environment

All STM versions

Cause

The issue is caused by incorrect credentials.

Resolution

Note:  Verify that access by remoting to your STM server and then try to access ESX api by going to:

https://<ESX API address>/mob

You should enter credentials and be able to see Managed Object Browser webpage. If you are unable to see this, then either network access or credentials are incorrect.

  1. We tried to access MOB website of ESX to verify that and we wasnt able to access it, however we was able to access it with different credentials.
  2. We modified your credentials details for one of your host.
  3. We need full read permission and browse datastores permission.
