Storage Manager 5.7 default collection schedule for VMware and SMI-S

Overview

With the release of Storage Manager 5.7, the default collection policy schedules have been changed for VMware and SMI-S. If you wish to change the default parameters go to Settings>Policies within the Storage Manager website and you will see all of the policies listed there. The two policies are called “Default SMI-S Policy” and “Default VMware Policy.” Please see the Edit Policy section of the Storage Manager Administrator guide for additional information on changing these policies. 

Notes:

  • If the user is upgrading STM, the values that were set prior to the upgrade will NOT be changed.
  • If the user is performing a fresh install of STM, the values will reflect the "5.7 Release and later" values below.
  • Any new reports created after a fresh install or upgrade will reflect the "5.7 Release and later" values below.
