SRM Profiler database

Updated: June 16, 2017

SRM Profiler is bundled with its own database. The SRM Profiler database is flexible, making the database backup, external access (via ODBC) and handling easy tasks.

Using the SRM Profiler database's server for applications other than SRM Profiler can slow down performance and consume additional CPU devices.

The SRM Profiler database port

SRM Profiler Database runs its server on port 3306. SolarWinds strongly recommends not changing this setting. Contact http://www.solarwinds.com/support/ticket/ for assistance if you need to change it

The SRM Profiler database performs correctly under most situations and in most environments with the default configuration. If performance optimization is required, contact SolarWinds http://www.solarwinds.com/support/ticket/ for assistance.

If you installed MariaDB before installing SRM Profiler server, the install will terminate. Only one instance of the MariaDB is supported on the SRM Profiler server.

Before installing the SRM Profiler server, stop the MariaDB Windows service (if any) and then uninstall MariaDB. DO NOT manually delete any MariaDB directories even after uninstall is completed! Old database data is located under the MariaDB install directory.

Any external utility that scans or backs up the SRM Profiler database is NOT recommended instead use dbutil for backup and maintenance.
