Upgrading JRE on the server will make the web console inaccessible.

  1. Go the Java website and download the latest Java version.

For Windows, it is recommended to download the Java installer in the SRM Profiler installed machine because the Java website automatically detects and downloads the respective version to the current Windows bit. For other operating systems, refer to the download list in the Java website to select the file according to your preference.

  1. Install the latest Java version.
  2. Stop SolarWinds SRM Profiler Service.
  3. Go to the location where the SRM Profiler agent is installed and backup the jre folder.
The default location is as follows:
    Windows: c:\Program Files\SolarWinds\SRM Profiler Agent
    Linux: /opt/Storage_Manager_Agent
  4. Delete all the files in the <location of the installed SRM Profiler agent>/jre folder.
  5. Go to the <location of the Java installed>/jreX and copy all the files.
  6. Paste all the copied files to <location of the installed SRM Profiler agent>/jre.
  7. Start SolarWinds SRM Profiler Service.

The SRM Profiler agent should start without any errors.
