Unable to collect data from Storage Arrays

Issue:

Customer is unable to collect storage data from his arrays via Storage Manager. When checking the SMI-S module log, the following error is noticed.

WBEMException: CIM_ERR_FAILED (A general error occurred that is not covered by a more specific error code. (com.emc.cmp.osls.se.osl.Array.StorArrayShow():123 C:ERROR_CLASS_SOFTWARE F:ERROR_FAMILY_NOT_FOUND R.....

Note also that clicking the "Test" button in Device Configuration for the array within the Storage Manager website will also report any errors being received.

Storage Manager did not generate this error. The error was received from the SMI-S provider that Storage Manager is polling.

Resolution:

Restart the SMI-S provider or contact the vendor of the SMI-S provider for further troubleshooting.
