Change event severities in Storage Manager

Overview

This article explains how to change the event severity in Storage Manager. Once the user has created a rule and policy on what they wish to be alerted against, the alert will trigger and log an entry to the Event Monitor. Storage Manager must log at least one event before the user can change the severity. Once the event severity has been changed, this will apply to any further events that match it.

Resolution

  1. To change event severity, do the following:
  2. Click on the Event Monitor link in the SRM website.
  3. Click the Edit button of the event that needs to be changed.
    The options are Critical, Error, Informational, and Debug.
  4. In the pop up window that will appear, use the pull down next to Severity to select the severity of the event.
  5. Click the Save button
