Data is not available on Web Console charts for Storage Manager

Overview

New charts introduced with STM v5.7 are reporting that data is not available.

Environment

STM v5.7 and later

Cause

In most cases, data is not available for charting in the web console for one of the following reasons:

  • The viewed devices were recently added and have not completed a full polling cycle. If this is the case, data will be written to the database and charted shortly.
  • During the charted time period, the viewed devices are either down or offline. Confirm the state of those devices by going to SETTINGS > All Devices.

It is less likely, but nonetheless possible, that there is another error preventing effective polling of the viewed devices. Submit a SolarWinds Technical Support ticket for further assistance.
