Overview

All storage arrays assigned to one agent stopped polling though no config changes were made.

Environment

  • STM 6.3
  • Windows 2008 Server

Cause 

The <Devices></Devices> section is empty in the SMI-S module config file.

Resolution

  1. Unassign one of the affected storage arrays and re-assign it to the agent.
  2. This will force the new xml file to be generated and delivered to the agent.
  3. .Polling will restart after a few hours.
