Windows authentication for Exchange 2007 Outlook Web Access in SAM

Overview

When using Windows authentication, the Exchange 2007 Outlook Web Access (OWA) Form Login template FormLogin will not successfully login. This affects SAM 6.2.4. To properly authenticate using Authentication for Exchange 2007 OWA, use the HTTPs monitor with a set of specific settings. See the resolution steps for details.

Cause 

Windows authentication is not supported in the SAM 6.2.4 Exchange 2007 Outlook Web Access (OWA) Form Login template.

Resolution

Use the HTTPS monitor to use Windows authentication to an Exchange 2007 OWA for custom templates in SAM.

 

The template Exchange 2007 Outlook Web Access (OWA) Form Login cannot handle Windows authentication. Use this component monitor with the following settings:

Credentials=Inherit from node;Port number=443;Url=https://$
{IP}
:$
{PORT}
/owa
