Overview

The following error is received when opening the Orion Web Console:

Unexpected Website Error: The settings property 'SRM.SRMHomeViewID' was not found.

Environment

All Orion environments

Cause

This is the result of SSL being enabled on Port 80 for the website.

Resolution

  1. On the Orion server, go to Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Database Manager.
  2. Click add Default Server.
  3. Click the + sign and navigate to the SolarWinds server.
  4. Click the + sign for the SolarWinds server and scroll to the Websites table.
  5. Double-click the Websites table.
  6. Click the Execute Query button.
  7. If the Port specified for the Primary website is 80, make sure SSL Enabled is set to 0. To change this, click the Enable table editing button.
  8. Click Execute Query one more time to make sure the changes take affect.

You then need to run the Website Configuration Wizard to re-configure the website for the non-SSL enabled HTTP settings. Perform the following steps:

  1. On the Orion Server, go to Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Configuration and Auto-Discovery.
  2. Click Configuration Wizard.
  3. Check Website and the click Next.
  4. Deselect Skip HTTP Binding and then click Next.
  5. Click Next again and run the Website Configuration Wizard until it completes.
