Unable to assign application template to a node

Overview

This article addresses the issue where an application template cannot be assigned to a node even when Node Management is enabled.

Environment

  • All SAM versions
  • All types of accounts (Orion, AD account, AD group account)

Resolution

  1. On the Orion Web Console, go to Settings > Manage Account.
  2. Locate the account and click Edit.
  3. Under Server and Application Monitor Settings, set SAM User Role to Admin Role.
    Note: The default user role is User.
  4. Click Submit.
