SAM component monitor count and licensing issues

Overview

There are multiple unlicensed component monitors after upgrading SAM.

Environment

All SAM versions

Cause

In order for component monitors not to count against your allotted license count, component monitors must be disabled. Components from unmanaged applications are still counted as licensed components. Only disabled components are not counted as licensed components.

Resolution

Disable components that are enabled in unmanaged applications.
