Important: Before proceeding, ensure that Windows Remote Management (WS-Management) is running and that the service Startup Type property is set to Automatic. Then follow steps in the order listed.

  1. Install PowerShell 2.0 and the WebAdministration snapin
  2. Set execution policy on the target computer
  3. Create a self-signed certificate
  4. Create a firewall rule
  5. Update WsMan limits
  6. Create a WinRM listener

You can also edit the Edit the AppInsight for IIS template.
