Find Exchange Credentials

For an account to access Exchange:

  • The account must be a domain account.
  • In order to modify IIS and PowerShell settings on the Exchange server, the account must be a Local Administrator.
  • The account is recommended not to be a member of the Domain Administrators group. Typically, you can add a custom domain security group to define a specific type of administrator with specific permissions to the Local Administrators group. In larger, more mature environments, this is handled using GPOs. Smaller organizations may perform this task manually.

Verify you have valid Exchange credentials. Run the following cmdlet in the Exchange Management Shell (EMS):

Get-ManagementRoleAssignment -RoleAssignee USER_IDENTITY
