SAM Agent Plugin in Installation Pending status

Overview

After upgrading SAM to version 6.2.2, SAM Agent Plugin is stuck in Installation Pending status.

Environment

SAM 6.2.2

Resolution

  1. Uninstall SAM Agent:
    1. Go to Programs and Features.
    2. Select SolarWinds Agent.
    3. Click on Uninstall.
  2. Reinstall SAM Agent.
    1. Go to Settings> Agent Settings.
    2. Under Manual Installer, click on Download .MSI and then run the application.
  3. Reinstall x86 version of Visual C++ Redistributable and .Net framework 4.0 separately from the Agent.
