Rename a Custom Property via the Orion Web Console in SAM

Overview

This article describes how to rename a Custom Property via the Orion Web Console in SAM.

Environment

Orion Plaform 2012.2 and later

Steps

Rename a custom property by creating a new custom property and moving all values from the old custom property to the new one.

1. Create a custom property - Creating a Custom Property.

2. Move the old property values from the old custom property to the new custom property. To move property values:
 

  1. Go to Settings > Manage Custom Properties.
  2. Select the old and new properties and click View/Edit Values.
  3. Highlight all the values on the old custom property column. Right click and choose Copy.
  4. Highlight all the rows in the new custom property column. Right click and choose Paste.
  5. Click Save Changes


3. Delete the old custom property.
