Remove databases from Appinsight monitoring

This article provides information about how to unmanage a database from your Appinsight for SQL template as sometimes there may come a situation where you need to umnanage Temp or System Default Databases.


SAM 6.0 and later


This is possible as sometimes it is not necessary to monitor some of the TempDBs or the system default databases.

  1. Log into the SolarWinds Web Console.
  2. Navigate to the SAM Summary Page.
  3. Locate the Appinsight template which you want to un-monitor databases from.
  4. Click into the database to view the details page.
  5. Click Un-manage - Un-managing the Database will stop all polling activities on this database and the database will no longer have an effect on the overall status of the application template.
