Nodes polled via SNMP or agent do not provide interface statistics in SAM

Overview

When monitoring nodes via SNMP or agent, interface names are returned, but no statistics or resources related to interfaces get populated.

Environment

This happens in any Orion environment where Server & Application Monitor is installed and Network Performance Monitor is not installed.

Detail

  • This is not something that SAM is currently capable of providing out-of-the-box.
  • Interface statistics for SNMP or agent managed nodes is only available within NPM.
