When a database goes offline, an alert is never fired

Overview

When a database goes offline, an alert is never fired.

Environment

All SAM versions

Information

This is because in the view used for alerting AppInsight for SQL, there are both databases and files. When the database has been taken offline, the database cannot be polled and no record in the view is returned for a database. If there is no record, the alert is not triggered.

This is a known issue and will be addressed in a future release.
