Warranty status displays as Unknown for HP servers in Asset Inventory resource (SAM)

Overview

The Warranty Status for HP servers displayed as Unknown in Asset Inventory resource accessible from the Node details page even if the warranty is expired.

Environment

  • SAM 6.2 — SAM 6.6

Cause 

HP changed the HTML structure of data in its warranty status table.

Resolution

SAM's HPWarrantyPoller code was updated to gather data in the revised format. Upgrade to SAM 6.6.1 to resolve this issue. Alternatively, refer to HP Check your warranty status  (© 2018 HP Development Company, L.P., obtained on May 21, 2018).
