Solarwinds JMX Bridge Service is not Installed

Overview

On the Primary Polling Engine where SAM is installed, the JMX Bridge Service is missing.

It should be visible in the SolarWinds Orion Service Manager.

Environment

All SAM versions

Cause 

The cause of this is generally a faulty install/upgrade that did not install the service correctly.

Resolution

  1. Open a Remote Desktop to the Primary Poller.
  2. Run > Appwiz.cpl.
  3. Find "Solarwinds Server and Application Monitor vX.X.
  4. Select it and click Repair.
  5. After the repair completes ensure you run through the Configuration Wizard.
