Create a self-signed certificate for AppInsight for Exchange with a PowerShell script

Overview

Attached is a self-signed certificate PowerShell script for AppInsight for Exchange. This script prompts for the IP Address of the Exchange server and sets the Common Name (CN) and expiration dates to their correct values.

Environment

All SAM versions

Resolution

 

  1. Download the script to the Exchange server
  2. Remove the .txt extension.
  3. Run the script from an elevated PowerShell session.
