SNMP Process Monitor in SAM displays a timeout error message

Updated February 11, 2019

When you are monitoring nodes running on Linux distributions using SNMP, you can use Process Monitor to collect data about specific processes, such as CPU load and memory usage.

When you open an SNMP Process Monitor component, the polling results display a timeout message.

The SNMP service is not running on the Linux distribution.

Contact your Linux system administrator to ensure that SNMP is running on the node.
