Appinsight for SQL Error Keyword not supported in SAM; TransparentNetworkIPResolution

Overview

Appinsight for SQL templates being polled using the agent method may display with an unknown status after upgrading to SAM 6.6.1. The error that appears on the Application Details page is:

 

Unable to establish SQL connection, check credentials. Keyword not supported: 'TransparentNetworkIPResolution'.

Environment

  • SAM 6.6.1

Cause

  • Bug in Product

Resolution

  • The only workaround for SAM 6.6.1 is to switch the template to agentless or upgrade the target SQL server .NET version to 4.6.1 or greater.
  • This issue is fixed in SAM 6.7.
  • Upgrade to the latest version of SAM.
