Monitor the Windows Mount Points on the server

Overview

This article describes how to monitor the Windows Mount Points on the server.

 

Note: If you see an issue with mount points no longer showing in list resources. Please know that this is a bug related issue that should be fixed in a future release. If you'd like more information on the bug please open a ticket with support.

Environment

All SAM versions.

Steps

1.To monitor the WindowsMount points on the server you need to have SAM 5.5 or higher installed. 
2. Monitor the node via WMI instead of SNMP.

3. When the node is monitored using WMI, a list resources is done on the node.

4. Add the resources and hence Mount Points are shown as resources, which can be monitored.
