Monitor the Orion server using an Orion template

Overview

This article describes how to monitor the Orion server using an Orion template in SAM.

This template can be used to monitor certain aspects of the Orion server, such as the performance of Job Engine v2, the status of SolarWinds services including their CPU and memory utilization.

Environment

SAM 6.2.3

Steps

  1. Go to Settings > SAM Settings > Manage Templates.
  2. In the left navigation pane, select the Orion template to display the components.
    Note: SAM 6.2.2 and later versions have 36 licensed components. Earlier versions have lesser components.


The template will assess the status of the Windows services that are related to the SolarWinds Orion servers:
