This article describes how to monitor Websense processes. Linux is only able to monitor regular Linux-based processes and a number of default Websense templates are set up to process WMI monitors.

  • SAM 6.2.1
  • SAM 6.2.2
  • SAM 6.2.3

  1. Go to Settings > SAM settings > Component Monitor Wizard.
  2. Select Process Monitor - SNMP (Linux side) and click Next.
  3. Enter the target IP address of the Linux box which you would like to find the Websense process.
  4. Click Next to confirm the action.
  5. Select the appropriate action from the following, and then click Next:
    • set up as a new application monitor template
    • add an existing application monitor template
    • create a new application monitor
    • edit an existing application monitor
  6. Optional: Assign the template to other nodes using the Assign to Nodes tab.
  7. Click Next in the succeeding windows.
  8. Click OK Create to complete the wizard.
