Manual agent install fails with Time Out error

Overview

This article describes the issue when you attempt to manually install an agent, you can sometimes receive a timeout error.

Environment

All versions of SAM

 

Cause 

This issue occurs when you use a domain account as this adds a large level of overhead that can easily cause time out problems with the install of the agent.

Resolution

Instead of using a domain account for the website connection, use a local admin account.

 

You can also check the database, for the system/node the agent is trying to be installed on, if the node is only showing

the ip address, delete the record for the node from the database and install again...
