How to mass deploy agents to a unique IP address or hostname

This article describes how to change mass deployed agents to a unique IP address or hostname that is different from the default Orion Server.

This configuration can be helpful if you have your Orion server pointed to an external IP, but the agents communicate using an internal IP.


  • Any SAM version


  1. Log in to the Orion Web Console.
  2. Click Settings > All Settings.


  3. Under Node and Group Management, click Manage Agents.
  4. Click Download Agent Software.


  5. Under Machine Type, select Windows, and click Next.


  6. Under Deployment Method, select Mass Deploy to Multiple Machines, and click Next.


  7. Click the Connection Settings drop-down menu and select Enter Connection Details Manually.


  8. In the IP Address field, enter the new IP address or hostname used for agent communications.
  9. Click Done.
