Historical Top 10 process IOPS report

Overview

This article provides steps to create a historical report showing the process that consumed the most Input/Output Operations Per Second (IOPS) for a specified time. 

SAM currently keeps the following for volume historical information:

  • DiskSize
  • AvgDiskUsed
  • MinDiskUsed
  • MaxDiskUsed
  • PercentDiskUsed
  • AllocationFailures

Environment

SAM version 6.2.x

Steps

 

To view IOPS:

Create a TOP 10 IOPS report and schedule it to send during the time you experience the bottleneck.

OR

Create a volume alert which triggers if the Total IOPS has exceeded the set threshold.
