Hardware alert variables returning incorrect data

Created by Interspire Import, last modified by Aileen de Lara_ret on Dec 01, 2016

Overview

The following variables are not returning the proper information:

  • ${APM_HardwareAlertData.Manufacturer}
  • ${APM_HardwareAlertData.Model}
  • ${APM_HardwareAlertData.ServiceTag}

Environment

All SAM versions

Resolution

This is a workaround:

For alerts that are created with APM: Hardware Sensor. It is necessary to replace the macros mentioned above with custom SQL variables. For example,

${SQL:Select Manufacturer from APM_HardwareInfo where NodeID = ${NodeID}}
