Create an alert for Appinsight for SQL Top Tables components

Overview

This article describes how to create an alert for Appinsight for SQL "Top Tables" components.

Environment

All SAM versions

Steps

 

  1. Open the Orion Web Console.
  2. Click Settings > Manage Alerts > Add New Alert.
  3. Under 'I want to Alert On' then Component in the drop down.
  4. Under 'The Scope of the Alert', select 'Only following set of objects'.
  5. Change the trigger conditions to the following: Component > Component Name> contains > Top Tables for database.
  6. The actual trigger condition:
    Change the trigger conditions to Component > Status > is equal to > Warning.
  7. You can also make this OR under the "Trigger Alert" and add a new line for Critical.
