Create a report for OS types

Overview

This article outlines steps to create a report to return a list of managed nodes, by specific OS type.

Environment

All SAM versions

Steps

This example creates a report listing only nodes with Server 2012 only. You can change the MachineType to return any other OS versions.

  1. Go to the Orion Web Console > Settings > Manage Reports > Create New Report.
  2. Provide a name for the report and click Add Content, select Inventory Lists > All Nodes.

  3. Provide a name for the report.
  4. Click Edit Resource.

  5.  For Filter Nodes (SQL), type the following example, and then click Submit.
    MachineType = 'Windows 2012 server'
  6. Complete the Add Report wizard.

The report is added to the list of reports, you can access it via Reports > All Reports.
