Create SAM component report that includes Multivalue Messages and Component Messages

Overview

This article describes the steps on how to pull report information from the Component Messages in a SAM component.

Steps

  1. Open the SQL Management Studio.
  2. Sign into SQL.
  3. Query the View 'APM_AlertsAndReportsData' in the database. For example,
    SELECT TOP 1000 *
      FROM [dbo].[APM_AlertsAndReportsData]
  4. Select the columns you want to retain and remove the others. SolarWinds recommends that you retain MultivalueStatisticsMultivalueMessages, and ComponentMessage. Example query: 

SELECT NodeId, 

    NodeName, 

    ComponentName, 

    ApplicationName, 

    ComponentMessage, 

    MultiValueStatistics, 

    MultiValueMessages, 

    WindowsEventMessages

FROM [dbo].[APM_AlertsAndReportsData] where ComponentName ='HTTP Port Monitor'
