Status vs Availability for SAM components

Historically, the status of SAM components was expressed by the Availability property. Later on, availability was mapped to Orion.Status, so that computing status in SAM is consistent with all Orion Platform products.

SolarWinds recommends you to use Orion.Status in alerts.

For SAM components, you can see the Availability Percentage value. This value expresses the component availability within the defined period of time (in percent).
