AppInsight for IIS is not polling

Overview

This article provides brief information and steps to resolve the issue when AppInsight for IIS is not polling.

Environment

All SAM versions

Cause

The issue is caused if you have updated Windows Server 2008 from PowerShell 2.0 to 3.0. During the update, the PowerShell Session configuration becomes unregistered. 

Resolution

Re-register PowerShell:

1. Open PowerShell via Run as Administrator.

2. Execute the following command on the target computer:
Register-PSSessionConfiguration -Name Microsoft.PowerShell
