Alerts are not triggered for hosts and virtual machines as expected

Overview

Alerts are not triggered in VIM for unmanaged hosts managed by vCenter, and for the virtual machines under unmanaged hosts which are managed by vCenter.

This is expected behavior which occurs when VIM is not integrated with Virtualization Manager, or the affected hosts are not managed as nodes.
